The Raptors signed free agent guards Tyreke Key and Nimari Burnett to Exhibit 10 contracts on Thursday, according to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca (Twitter links).
While many players signed to Exhibit 10 deals this time of year are quickly waived to secure a bonus for playing for their teams’ G League affiliates, it sounds like that won’t be the case for Key or Burnett. Both players are on Toronto’s official training camp roster, which also includes fellow camp invitees Nate Bittle and Andre Jackson Jr., per Murphy.
Key emerged as a reliable scorer last season for the Raptors 905, averaging 16.6 points per game in 33 regular season outings (14 starts) while shooting 52.1% from the field and 42.1% from three-point range. He went undrafted out of Tennessee in 2023 after spending his first four collegiate seasons at Indiana State and then played in Belgium for a year before signing in the G League.
Toronto signed Key to a standard rest-of-season contract last April but waived him a few days later. It appears that move was more about rewarding Key with a bonus for playing well for the 905, since he has yet to make his NBA debut.
Burnett agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Raptors in late June, when he went undrafted, but the deal hadn’t been finalized until now. A full-time starter for a Michigan Wolverines team that won 37 games and the national championship, Burnett averaged 8.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 19.8 minutes per game in 2025/26, posting a shooting line of .453/.375/.776.
Five other players signed training camp deals on Thursday, according to Paul Garcia of Spot Up Shot (Substack and Twitter links). Those players (and teams) are as follows:
Reeves was a second-round pick two years ago and has appeared in NBA games the past two seasons with the Pelicans and Hornets. Marshall went undrafted out of George Washington, while Elmore, Levin and Williams are largely G League and/or international veterans, though Williams holds a little NBA experience, having played for Toronto in 2023/24 and also spending a couple weeks last season on a two-way deal with Atlanta.
