The much-anticipated Malayalam investigative thriller ‘Pradhama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar’, directed by Shahad and starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, has unveiled its intense teaser, exciting fans and cinephiles alike.
The teaser was launched on the film’s official Instagram handle, accompanied by the message, “Sometimes, justice stands above the truth. Official Teaser Out Now | Link in Bio. #PradhamDrishtyaKuttakkar In cinemas September 11. #PDK #TeaserOutNow.”
Opening with a police officer reading out a pistol’s identification number, the teaser quickly moves into a chase scene, showcasing anxious police officers. Parvathy’s voice is heard affirming, “I’ll never go anywhere leaving her all alone.” A male cop adds, “Even the deepest crime will eventually come to light. For that one day, I’ll be waiting.” Parvathy then declares, “He won’t rest until this ends.”
The narrative suggests a story centered on two junior women police officers targeted by a senior official following a troubling incident. It also highlights a woman’s determination to support her colleague through a difficult ordeal.
Earlier, the makers had released a motion poster showing four cops—two men and two women—sitting closely with tense expressions. Parvathy was featured as one of the officers.
Industry insiders reveal that Parvathy portrays a woman who joins the police force after her cop husband passes away.
The film also stars Mathew Thomas, Unnimaya Prasad, Vijaya Raghavan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Azees Nedumangad in crucial roles.
Director Shahad, known for the family drama ‘Prakashan Parakkatte’, has helmed this project, with the story penned by P S Subramanian and Vijesh Thottingal. Filming took place across locations such as Kottayam, Changanassery, and Kuttanad.
Produced by Arjun Selva, the film’s music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed, and cinematography handled by Ruby Varghese Raj. Editing is done by Chaman Chakko, costumes designed by Sameera Saneesh, with stunts choreographed by Action Sandhosh, Kalai Kingson, and Vicky Master. Sound design is by Jayadevan Chakkadath and production design by Makesh Mohanan.
