Welcome to the New York Giants betting angle, Week 2 edition! Each week, I’m giving you my three favorite wagers for that week’s New York Giants game. My one rule: I won’t ever give you wagers that are less than -120. No gimmes!
The Giants travel to Los Angeles this week for a Monday Night Football matchup with the Rams. For both teams, it’s a second straight showing in prime time. Things went about as well as they could have for the Giants at home against Dallas in Week 1, while the Rams got smoked in Australia by the 49ers. Much has been made of Los Angeles’s travel decisions around that game. They’ve got an 11 day recovery window from that experience before hosting Big Blue on Monday.

The Rams, who came into the season as one of the Super Bowl favorites, are favored by 7.5 points, with a game total of 47.5.
I went 2-1 last week, thanks to the UNDER sneaking in by half a point. A good start to the season, and I’ll take it, Brandon Aubrey!
Let’s get to this week’s picks. All lines and odds are from Fanduel and are as of Friday, Sept. 18.

Giants + 7.5 (-118). I don’t want to overreact to Week 1, but this feels like a lot of points for the Rams to lay. L.A. lost Myles Garrett in Week 1 and while they’ll get Aaron Donald into the lineup for this one, I think Jaxson Dart and the Giants should be able to score enough points to keep Big Blue in the game. I like getting the TD plus the hook, and even if New York is trailing by more than a score, the backdoor cover is in play. I think New York is a live dog with a legit chance to pull off the upset. Give me the points.
Malik Nabers OVER 5.5 receptions (-114). Nabers was uncertain to play right up until a few hours before gametime last week, and in the end he was only on the field for 52% of the Giants’ offensive snaps. He still hauled in six catches on nine targets. He’s always going to command a massive target share when he’s out there, and I expect his snap count to tick up each week as he acclimates. New York ran the ball a lot last week, as they were playing with a lead for the entire second half. That probably won’t be the case this week. Six catches feels like a fairly easy bar to clear.
Davante Adams longest reception UNDER 19.5 yards (-114). Adams is not only no longer a deep threat, he’s no longer a target hog. His receptions over/under for this game is just 3.5. That line, coupled with the low volume he got last year and in Week 1, suggests limited opportunities and that makes me feel better about him not catching anything 20 yards or longer.
Those are the picks for Week 2. Good luck with your wagers! And if you play fantasy football, be sure to check out my Week 2 fantasy preview, with start/sit advice and more, right here.
