The Philadelphia Eagles received plenty of criticism after allowing quarterback Jalen Hurts to play in Week 5 despite knowing he was dealing with a blood clot in his calf. But after a review of the situation, the NFL reportedly does not feel that criticism was warranted.
The league reportedly found that the Eagles handled the situation “appropriately,” per The Athletic.
Because of that, the team will not face punishment for their handling of the Hurts, who is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 season after multiple blood clots were discovered in his lungs.
