Having entered the day with two open spots on their 21-man training camp roster, the Hawks filled those openings by signing forward Cameron Corhen and guard Kobe Johnson, the club announced in a press release.

While the Hawks didn’t reveal any details about the deals, Brad Rowland of Locked on Hawks (Twitter link) refers to them as non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts. In all likelihood, Corhen and Johnson will both end up with Atlanta’s G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. Their Exhibit 10 deals will put them in line to receive bonuses worth up to $91K apiece if they’re waived and then spends at least 60 days with the Skyhawks.

Johnson would be a returning rights player for College Park, having played for the Hawks’ G League team last season. Corhen, meanwhile, went undrafted out of Pittsburgh this June and could become an affiliate player for the Skyhawks. Both players suited up for Atlanta’s Summer League team in July.

• Free agent guard Lester Quinones is signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Heat, agent Scott Nichols tells Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald. Quinones, 25, made 54 total NBA regular season appearances for Golden State, Philadelphia, and New Orleans from 2023-25. He spent last season with the Osceola Magic in the G League but had his returning rights traded to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s affiliate, over the weekend. Quinones is expected to be among the players competing for a two-way contract with the Heat, says Jackson.
• After waiving Rob Dillingham earlier in the day, the Hornets filled the newly opened spot on their roster by signing forward Wyatt Fricks, the team announced (via Twitter). Reporting back in June indicated that Charlotte had reached an agreement on an Exhibit 10 deal with Fricks, who went undrafted out of Marshall after he was the only college player to register at least 50 dunks and 50 made three-pointers in 2025/26.
• The Pistons have officially waived guard Bryson Warren, per NBA.com’s transaction log. Warren signed with Detroit on Sunday but wasn’t included on the training camp roster the team put out on Monday, so this move was anticipated. Warren is expected to report to the Motor City Cruise, Detroit’s G League affiliate, this fall.
