The Thunder have signed forward Dariq Whitehead and guards Lamar Wilkerson and Nate Johnson to non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts, the team announced today.
Oklahoma City’s agreements with Wilkerson and Johnson were first reported back in June, shortly after both players went undrafted.
Whitehead, a 2023 first-round pick, spent most of last season in the G League with the Oklahoma City Blue before signing a 10-day hardship deal with Memphis to wrap up the 2025/26 campaign. The 22-year-old wing didn’t play particularly well for the Thunder’s affiliate club, averaging 11.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 34 appearances (23.4 minutes per contest), with a subpar shooting line of .367/.293/.697.
The expectation is that Whitehead, Wilkerson and Johnson will all report to the Oklahoma City Blue this fall. Based on the terms of their Exhibit 10 deals, each of those three players will earn a bonus worth $91K on top of his base NBAGL salary by spending at least 60 days with the Blue.
The Thunder waived three players earlier on Friday to make room for their new additions.
Several other teams have been busy making relatively minor moves on Friday. Here’s a brief rundown.
