Minor Moves: Spurs, Bezhanishvili, Moore, Robinson, Swider, Williams, Crowl
The Spurs have made some minor moves ahead of the start of the 2026/27 season. They have waived Taelon Peter and Malik Williams, according to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News (via Twitter), and also waived Terry Taylor, whom they signed to a non-guaranteed training camp deal earlier in the day, according to the NBA’s transaction log.
These moves come the day after the Spurs waived RJ Davis, who was also on a training camp deal.
Peter was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract in early October, while Williams was added to the Spurs’ roster in late September. All three players will now be eligible to earn a bonus of up to $91K on top of their base salary should they spend at least 60 days with the Spurs’ G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs.
We have more minor moves from around the NBA:
- The Hawks have signed free agent forward Giorgi Bezhanishvili to an Exhibit 10 deal, writes Locked on Hawks’ Brad Rowland (Twitter link). The 6’9″, 27-year-old forward out of Rustavi, Georgia, played 50 games for the Bulls’ G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls, last season, averaging 11.1 points and 6.8 rebounds while hitting 40.0% from three in 29.0 minutes per game.
- The Jazz have signed free agent forward Chance Moore, the team announced in a press release. The team did not disclose the terms of the deal, but it is likely an Exhibit 10 training camp deal. The 6’6″ wing went undrafted in 2026 after averaging 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game as a senior at West Virginia.
- The Cavaliers have waived Jaxson Robinson after signing him to a training camp deal earlier in the week, notes Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot (Twitter link). The 6’7″ wing spent much of last season with the Cleveland Charge, the Cavs’ G League affiliate.
- Three other players who were waived on Wednesday are Cole Swider (Lakers), DeAndre Williams (Clippers), and Steven Crowl (Nuggets), per Garcia (via Twitter). Swider has played 35 games over three seasons, spending time with the Lakers, Heat, Pistons, and Raptors, while Williams and Crowl have yet to suit up for an NBA team.
