Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III had seven receptions, 65 yards, and a touchdown in a Week 8 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Burden was targeted nine times.
Why It Matters: Burden did most of his work early on, helping to set the tone with yards after the catch and finding the end zone to punctuate Chicago’s opening 17-play, 80-yard drive. He didn’t do a whole lot later in the game, but Burden is clearly working as the lead receiver with a lot of designated quick hitters while Rome Odunze is more of the downfield threat. Burden has totaled 19 receptions, 281 yards, and two TDs in three games since Caleb Williams returned from injury, pushing him toward low-end WR2 territory.
