Lakers Signing Robbie Avila, Chase Ross To Exhibit 10 Deals
The Lakers have reached Exhibit 10 agreements with Saint Louis’ Robbie Avila and Marquette’s Chase Ross, according to Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express (Twitter links).
Avila, a 6’10” center, was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year after leading the Billikens to a 27-4 record. He posted 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 35 games to earn the award. Before transferring to St. Louis in 2024, Avila gained fame at Indiana State for his low-post moves, his passing skills and his unique look that includes glasses with thick frames.
Ross, a 6’4″ senior guard, was named to the Big East All-Defensive Team this season after leading the conference in steals with 2.3 per game. He also averaged 14.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 32 games while playing 33 minutes per night.
Neither player was mentioned on ESPN’s big board of the top 100 draft prospects.
Exhibit 10 contracts are non-guaranteed and can be converted to two-way deals. Both players will have the opportunity to earn a bonus worth up to $91K if they’re waived before the start of the season and spend at least 60 days with L.A.’s G League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Lakers.
