Count veteran big man Tony Bradley among the free agents on the Knicks’ radar ahead of training camp, Ian Begley of SNY.tv reports in a mailbag article.

Begley previously reported that New York has been eyeing Drew Eubanks and John Konchar as the team continues to evaluate how to fill its final standard roster spots. Barring a cost-cutting move, the Knicks are only expected to carry 14 players (plus three on two-way deals) to open the 2026/27 campaign.

The 28th overall pick in the 2017 draft, Bradley is an eight-year NBA veteran who spent about half of 2025/26 with Indiana. He finished last season with the Hawks, who were looking for depth in the middle after an ankle injury to Jock Landale.

In 41 total games last season, Bradley averaged 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per contest. The 28-year-old holds career averages of 4.3 PPG and 3.8 RPG in 11.0 MPG across 234 regular season games.

The Knicks currently only have Karl-Anthony Towns at Andre Drummond at the five, but Begley hears they’re very confident in that duo as they look to defend their title.

• In that same mailbag, Begley reports that the team has been in regular communication with Miles McBride’s agents this offseason. However, Begley expresses skepticism that an extension agreement will be reached, since McBride has far outplayed his current contract and the Knicks’ payroll still projects to be very expensive going forward. The 2021 second-round pick averaged a career-high 12.0 points while shooting a career-best 41.3% from three-point range (6.6 attempts per game) in 41 regular season outings last season (26.0 MPG).
• While several teams would be interested in McBride if the Knicks were to make him available in trade talks, that hasn’t happened yet, Begley writes. Still, McBride’s on an expiring contract, and Begley suggests they might eventually look to move him so they don’t lose him for nothing in free agency.
• Veteran wing Josh Hart says the Knicks “aren’t satisfied with one” championship, Adam Zagoria writes for NJ.com (subscriber link). The 31-year-old also views the Knicks as still being underdogs despite a dominant playoff run — they’re currently tied with Philadelphia for the third-best championship odds. “I don’t think we have a big target because I don’t think anyone’s picking us to win again,” Hart told ESPN Wednesday at the U.S. Open.
