The Kings have signed wing Trhae Mitchell to a training camp contract, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot tweets.
Mitchell, 29, has spent most of his pro career in the G League after going undrafted in 2020. He was signed and waived during training camp by New Orleans last fall, then spent the season with the Birmingham Squadron, the Pelicans’ G League affiliate. He appeared in 48 games, averaging 5.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.4 minutes per game.
That was Mitchell’s second season with the Squadron. He also played four seasons with the Rio Grande Vipers.
Assuming he signed an Exhibit 10 deal, Mitchell will be eligible for a bonus worth up to $91K if he’s waived before camp ends and then spends at least 60 days with the Stockton Kings, Sacramento’s G League club.
The Kings now have 20 players on their training camp roster, one below the limit.
