Remember that famous clip of Joe Burrow bouncing up and down the sidelines and him saying, “Put it in my hands! Put it in my hands, it’s over!”
That was in Week 4 of the 2021 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, when Joe Burrow led a 10-play, 73-yard drive that took the last 5:33 off the clock in a 24-21 comeback victory.

Not to mention, the Bengals trailed 14-0 at halftime of that game. Burrow was 17/20 for 253 yards and two touchdowns in the second half of that game. Three touchdown drives and the game-winning drive for the game-winning field goal.
Some might say that’s clutch. It’s because it is.
Joe Burrow is clutch. Period. Whatever false national narratives that are being floated around are fruitless. Just go back and watch any clutch moment from Burrow in 2021 and 2022. He proved time and time again in those two seasons that he is clutch. It is not at all his fault the Bengals have lost games over the last two seasons. Those national narratives clearly forget why the Bengals lost those games.
But just for the record, Joe Burrow reiterated that he wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line.

“I feel like I’m pretty good in those moments,” Burrow said Wednesday, via Bengals.com. “There’s no place I’d rather be. I want it in my hands when you put the game on the line. I trust myself in those spots. I trust our guys in those spots. We feel confident that we’re going to get it done.”
Boom. Debate over. Joe Burrow is clutch. He knows he’s good in those situations, and Bengals fans and those who cover the Bengals know he is good when the game is on the line. Carry on.
