The Jets are set to start Braelon Allen at running back while Breece Hall deals with his quad injury, according to a report Sunday morning by Ian Rapoport of ESPN and NFL Network.
New York listed Hall as questionable on Friday’s injury report. He has not played for the Jets since Sept. 27, a 31-24 loss at the Detroit Lions in which his injury occurred.

Allen ran 17 times for 104 yards (6.1 average) in last Sunday’s 28-25 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Through seven games this season, he has taken 91 carries for 418 yards (4.6 average) and two touchdowns.
“We have the best one-two combo in the NFL,” New York offensive coordinator Frank Reich said last month in the wake of the Jets’ 17-12 win over the Cleveland Browns.
“Braelon is outstanding. Really smart. Has the explosive runs, that was the big thing last week. We had four explosives in the game, tied for the most in the year for us. And a lot of that was his running.”
Hall, who has missed the Jets’ past four weeks, attempted 51 rushes for 163 yards (3.2 average) and one touchdown in the first three games.
