The Jacksonville Jaguars will look to make a statement on primetime television against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.
The Jaguars (5-2) are coming off their most lopsided win of the season, a 42-7 drubbing of the division rival Indianapolis Colts. Trevor Lawrence posted the best passer rating of his career; Bhayshul Tuten recorded the longest rush of his career; Brenton Strange had the longest catch of his career; Rayuan Lane III and Branson Combs caught their first career interceptions. Everybody’s eating!

The Ravens (4-4) just placed Lamar Jackson on injured reserve after he injured his hand on the very first play of Baltimore’s Week 8 matchup in Buffalo. Not only did the Ravens lose their two-time MVP, but they were also without backup quarterback Tyler Huntley after he hurt his toe. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano had to finish the game; he wound up completing 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and an interception (40.0 passer rating). Baltimore could trade for a veteran quarterback, but with only 72 hours until Thursday Night Football, it might make more sense to ride with Fagnano again on a short week.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Jaguars are 8.5-point favorites against the Ravens in Week 9. The total is set at 43.5 points.
What are your thoughts on the opening line, Jags fans? Are the Ravens still a threat despite their compromised quarterback room? Or will Liam Coen’s squad keep rolling?
