Authorities arrested a suspect who allegedly kept an illegal gambling den running out of a San Jose home after it was busted by police four months ago.
The first arrests came on Dec. 30, when police took four suspects into custody at the home in the 2700 block of Cramer Circle. Several gambling machines and narcotics were seized as well, San Jose police said Monday.
Authorities discovered the operation had continued, and on April 7 another search warrant was served at the home and more gambling machines were seized.
Officers identified the primary suspect as 26-year-old Deon Nguyen, obtaining a warrant for his arrest and a search warrant for his home.
He was arrested Thursday in San Jose and during a search, police allegedly found seven rifles with various illegal modifications including a short-barreled fully automatic rifle, a shotgun, and 10 handguns, police said in a news release.
In addition, police allegedly seized several extended magazines, thousands of rounds of ammunition, ghost gun manufacturing parts, butterfly knives, brass knuckles, about $51,000 in cash and gold bullion.
