Three days after signing him to an Exhibit 10 contract, the Hornets have officially waived guard/forward Kobe Stewart, the team announced in a press release (Twitter link).

Stewart went undrafted in 2025 after five seasons at Presbyterian College. As a “super senior” with the Blue Hose in 2024/25, he averaged 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 33 games (33.2 minutes per contest), with a shooting line of .479/.352/.792.

The 24-year-old spent his first professional season playing in the G League, where he appeared in a total of 46 games for the Austin Spurs, Memphis Hustle, and Wisconsin Herd. The 6’6″ swingman averaged 7.7 PPG, 3.2 RPG and 1.3 APG in 20.0 MPG, with a shooting line of .455/.308/.767.

Stewart suited up for the Bucks at the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues in July, getting into six games and averaging 4.8 PPG and 2.5 RPG in 12.8 MPG.

By signing Stewart to an Exhibit 10 deal and waiving him before the season, the Hornets can ensure he receives up to $91K on top of his typical G League base salary if he spends at least 60 days with the Greensboro Swarm, Charlotte’s affiliate team. The Swarm will have to acquire Stewart’s rights from the Herd via trade at some point in order for him earn his Exhibit 10 bonus.

Charlotte now has 20 players under contract, one shy of the offseason limit.
