The Hawks have waived forward Keyshawn Bryant in order to sign guard Lamont Butler, per a team press release.

While the terms of Butler’s agreement were not disclosed, he almost certainly signed an Exhibit 10 contract in order to earn a bonus worth up to $91K for playing for Atlanta’s G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. That bonus would be in addition to his typical NBAGL salary.

Butler, a 6’2″ guard who played four years at San Diego State and one at Kentucky before going undrafted in 2025, signed an Exhibit 10 deal with Atlanta last fall and was waived before the 2025/26 season began. However, he never actually suited up for College Park, having been deactivated before the NBAGL season began.

In his final college season with Kentucky in 2024/25, Butler averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 26.0 minutes per game across 27 appearances. His shooting slash line was .498/.391/.735.

Bryant, a three-year G League veteran, was just signed on Wednesday. Butler could be waived in the near future as well, but for now, the Hawks are currently at the offseason limit of 21 players under contract.
