Carnell Tate officially ended the preseason without a catch after playing in all three games. All of the reports from practice were that he was performing well. That didn’t translate to the games. It did, however, translate in last week’s joint practice against the Chicago Bears. He had a really good day.

Maybe that is why most fans aren’t letting his preseason performance change the outlook for his rookie year:

I love that the people voting in these polls this offseason have been so reasonable. That has not been the case with a lot of the issues floating around on Twitter. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how these guys perform in the regular season. Sure, we would have loved to see them go off and put up massive numbers in the preseason, but even that doesn’t always translate. Real football is finally here!
