A few days after being waived by the Pacers, free agent guard Ethan Thompson has officially signed a two-year contract with KK Partizan, the EuroLeague team announced in a press release.

The news was expected, as two reports out of Serbia indicated that Thompson had reached a one-plus-one agreement with the Belgrade-based club. Before his new deal could be finalized, he had to be released by the Pacers.

Thompson made 32 NBA appearances with Indiana last season, averaging 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists on .378/.328/.787 shooting splits in 20.4 minutes per game. Although Thompson spent time on a two-way contract with Orlando in 2024/25, ’25/26 marked the first time he had played in an NBA regular season game.

The 27-year-old also made 16 total G League appearances (eight apiece) with the Sioux Falls Skyforce (Miami’s affiliate) and Noblesville Boom (Indiana’s affiliate) in 2025/26, averaging 26.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 6.1 APG and 1.3 SPG on .464/.450/.851 shooting in 35.3 MPG.

Thompson, who went undrafted out of Oregon State in 2021, has spent most of the past five years playing in the NBAGL, suiting up for the Windy City Bulls, Mexico City Capitanes, Osceola Magic, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Noblesville Boom. He also plays for the Puerto Rican national team.

Thompson is joining a Partizan team that features former NBA players like Jabari Parker, Lamar Stevens and Carlik Jones, among others.

Parker, the second overall pick back in the 2014 draft, is expected to spend the preseason with Partizan as the Serbian club weighs its options for the final year of his contract, according to Sport Klub (hat tip to Eurohoops). The 31-year-old forward finished last season on loan with Joventut Badalona after a disappointing stint with KK Partizan.
