The Dolphins have added a standout player from the UFL.
Miami announced on Monday that the club has signed safety Major Burns.
Burns, 24, played for the UFL’s Houston Gamblers in 2026. He finished the season with the league lead with four interceptions. He also tallied 45 total tackles with eight passes defensed.

The Bears brought Burns to the NFL as an undrafted free agent last offseason, but he did not make the 53-man roster. He signed with the Gamblers in March 2026.
Additionally, Miami announced the club has waived offensive lineman Kion Smith and waived offensive tackle Carter Warren with an injury designation.
