The Pittsburgh Steelers and tight end Darnell Washington agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $42 million, making him the 12th-highest paid tight end in the league. Further details on the extension have been revealed.

Washington is coming off a career-best season, with career-highs in catches (31) and yards (364).
The Steelers also extended edge rusher Nick Herbig just one day before Washington, inking the Wisconsin product to a four-year, $100 million deal.
The Steelers will return to the practice field at Rooney Sports Complex for their final set of OTAs this week before taking a six-week break ahead of training camp. Players will report to St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA Tuesday, July 28 with the first practice of training camp being Wednesday, July 29.
