Georges Niang‘s new one-year, minimum-salary contract with the Warriors is partially guaranteed, Hoops Rumors has confirmed.
As long as Niang isn’t waived on or before January 7, he’ll receive his full-season salary of $3,876,529. However, for now, he’s only assured of a $1,838,009 partial guarantee. The deal also includes Exhibit 3 language protecting Golden State in the event that Niang deals with complications related to his left foot. A stress reaction in that foot led to the veteran forward missing all of the 2025/26 season.
As for Brandon Williams‘ one-year, minimum-salary deal with Golden State, it’s entirely non-guaranteed, as Michael Scotto of HoopsHype tweets. Williams will lock in a partial guarantee worth $1.4MM if he makes the opening night roster and will earn his full $2,625,627 salary if he remains under contract through Jan. 7.
