Chucky Hepburn plans to sign his two-way qualifying offer to return to the Raptors, reports Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (via Twitter).
The 6’0″ point guard only played two games for the Raptors this season, but was productive for their G League team. He averaged 12.8 points, 9.1 assists, and 2.5 steals during the 14 games of the Raptors 905’s tip-off tournament on an efficient .448/.397/.897 shooting line.
Despite being undersized, he displayed impressive skills as a floor general and defensive-minded guard before a meniscus tear ended his season early, preventing him from getting regular-season minutes at the end of the year when Immanuel Quickley was injured.
TSN’s Josh Lewenberg notes (via Twitter) that he is making good progress in his recovery and that the team is excited about retaining him.
