Restricted free agent guard Chris Manon has re-signed with the Lakers on another two-way contract, the team announced in a press release (Twitter link via Khobi Price of The California Post).
Los Angeles tendered Manon a qualifying offer last week, making him restricted. He likely simply accepted that two-way QO to return to the Lakers.
A 6’4″ wing who went undrafted last year out of Vanderbilt, Manon spent his entire rookie season on a two-way contract with the Lakers. Although he only played 46 total minutes in nine games at the NBA level, the 24-year-old impressed in the G League with the team’s affiliate in South Bay.
In 46 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season games (26.9 minutes per contest) with South Bay in 2025/26, Manon averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks on .511/.315/.737 shooting splits. He was runner-up for the NBAGL’s Defensive Player of the Year award and earned a spot on the G League’s All-Defensive team (there’s only one).
Manon technically fills the first of the Lakers’ three two-way spots. However, the team reportedly reached two-way agreements with Peter Suder and AK Okereke shortly after they went undrafted last week. Once those two signings are official, all three of the team’s slots will be filled.
