Starting left guard Kayode Awosika, who hasn’t played since being injured in Week Two, logged his second limited practice session of the week on Thursday and looks poised to return to the field against the Texans on Sunday.
Awosika played well in his 1+ games to begin the season and his presence should be a nice addition back to the front five. Unfortunately, what’s looking like his first game back is going to be one heck of a wake-up call in the Houston front seven. As much as the Texans love to run games up front, Awosika will certainly see the likes of Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter. That’s quite the welcome back.

Rookie wideout Brenen Thompson remains a DNP with quad and hamstring injuries. He hasn’t played in over a month and as a Mike McDaniel guy from this past draft, this remains a tough look.
Lastly, both David Njoku and Denzel Perryman have each logged limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Both could be activated and return to the field on Sunday, as well.
