The Cleveland Cavaliers star was hit with a misdemeanour charge for having a firearm inside his vehicle.
Authorities said “the handgun was in plain view” and “was not carried in a holster,” and Harden was later released on bond with an arraignment scheduled for June 22, per the records.
Harden spent the second half of the past season with the Cavaliers after a trade from the Los Angeles Clippers.
He helped his new squad reach the Eastern Conference Final, including a Round 1 victory over the Toronto Raptors, before being swept by the New York Knicks.
