After clearing waivers on Friday, free agent guard Cam Christie has agreed to re-sign with the Clippers on a new two-way contract, sources tell Shams Charania of ESPN (Twitter link).
Team sideline reporter Ohm Youngmisuk confirms the news (via Twitter).
Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reported late Thursday night that the Clippers were interested in bringing back Christie on a two-way deal. Los Angeles waived the 21-year-old guard on October 14, one day before his previous minimum-salary contract would have become guaranteed.
Christie and the Clippers agreed twice earlier in the offseason to push back his salary guarantee date.
The 46th overall pick in the 2024 draft, Christie played a modest role with L.A. over the course of his first two NBA seasons. He made 55 appearances in 2025/26, averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game.
As part of his new two-way agreement, Christie will be eligible to be active for 50 of the Clippers’ 82 regular season games. He’ll earn $678,882 in 2026/27, half of the rookie minimum.
While the Clippers have a two-way opening, their roster is currently full, so they’ll have to release someone before they can officially re-sign Christie.
