The Tampa Bay Buccaneers returned to the practice field Wednesday as they prepare for Sunday’s Week 7 NFC South matchup against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.
Tampa Bay’s initial injury report featured five players who did not participate, including wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (concussion/foot), offensive tackle Luke Goedeke (calf), linebacker Christian Rozeboom (finger), and cornerback Zyon McCollum and running back Bucky Irving, who are both dealing with illnesses.

The biggest positive development was quarterback Baker Mayfield (right thumb), who returned to practice as a full participant after missing the last three games. His status for Sunday remains uncertain as the team continues evaluating his recovery throughout the week.
Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib), defensive tackle Calijah Kancey (illness), and defensive tackle Vita Vea (rest) were limited participants. Meanwhile, running back Sean Tucker (quad) and cornerback Benjamin Morrison (quad) were among those practicing in full.
Carolina also had several players absent Wednesday, including outside linebackers Jaelan Phillips (hamstring) and Thomas Incoom (calf). Running back Chuba Hubbard, tackle Taylor Moton, linebacker Devin Lloyd, and tight end Darren Waller were held out for rest.
