Reigning NCAA singles champion Reese Brantmeier (University of North Carolina) sits atop the Australian Open Wild Card Challenge after week 4 of 5 for the women, while Jenson Brooksby and Martin Damm are tied for the lead on the men’ side after two of five weeks.

Brantmeier, who has powered into the Top 200 with back-to-back titles in Canada, at W75 Saguenay and W75 Toronto this past weekend, leads former US Open champion Sloane Stephens by 43 points. The women’s wild card challenge ends this week.
Brantmeier, a Wisconsin native, was unranked in June when she reached her first 100K title in Sumter, South Carolina. She was No.431 at the US Open, where she lost in the first round.
Damm pulled into a tie with former World No.33 Brooksby by winning a challenger title in Brest, France this weekend. Brooksby won the Fort Worth Challenger the week prior.
Three more weeks of competition remain for the men.
