Cincinnati Bengals’ star Ja’Marr Chase suffered a concussion on Sunday following a facemask and a brutal hit to follow it up. He left the game after being slung to the turf by his facemask before another defender came in and made Chase’s head hit the turf hard.
These things happen in football, but some comments from former Jacksonville Jaguars players on X were disgusting, to say the least.

“The Jags didn’t bruise one of Chase’s muscles. They didn’t sprain one of his joints. Even if they did something of that nature, applauding the injuring of another player on its own is quite telling.”
“The Bengals need to do something. It’s sending the wrong message to fans, and perhaps the locker room, to keep sending that effort level out on the field.”
“There was no shortage of confidence after the Bengals had their chances despite losing their All-Pro wide receiver Chase (concussion) 18 minutes into the game and then his running mate Higgins (abductor), leaving with five minutes left and taking 157 yards and his career year with him.”
“The Bengals need wide receiver help and they may trust their practice squad options, but they currently only have two healthy wide-outs ahead of Wednesday’s practice”
