Fresh off Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift winning the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award (and the NVP!) for his big game against the Carolina Panthers, the Bears have another award winner.
Quarterback Caleb Williams is one of the Week 1 winners for the 2026 FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week after completing 21 of 29 passes (72.4%) for 269 yards and two touchdowns with a 124.1 passer rating. He added 10 carries for 65 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns in Chicago’s 59- 37 win.

Swift was one of the other nominees for the FedEx award, but the other winner this week was Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who was 20 of 29 passing (69.0%) for 334 yards and two TDs with a 130.5 passer rating, with six runs for 23 yards and 2 touchdowns rushing.
The FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week award is no longer split into one for the Air (QB) and one for the Ground (RB), as six quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends are now nominated, and the top vote-getters win regardless of position.
Each week, FedEx will donate $2,000 to Feeding America in honor of each Player of the Week award, for a total weekly donation of $4,000 benefiting local food banks in the winning players’ cities.
