The New Orleans Saints have reportedly suffered another injury blow to their offense.
Two days after the news surfaced that rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson will be out for about two months with the right hamstring injury he suffered last week during training camp, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that five-time Pro Bowl running back Alvin Kamara is expected to be sidelined for at least the next month with a sprained MCL.

With that kind of recovery timeline, an aging Kamara — who has been hampered by injuries in recent years — would miss, at minimum, the first game of the regular season. Kamara, 31, and the Saints agreed to restructure his contract this offseason. Doing so kept him in the fold. He’ll reportedly be playing his 10th season in the NFL, all with the Saints, on a $6 million base salary, with a chance to make as much as $8.5 million in incentives.
