Jalen Suggs was diagnosed with a mild bone bruise on his right knee following his early exit from Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks, and is due to miss at least two weeks, the team announced on Monday.
Suggs went down with what looked to be potentially a much more serious injury after driving for a layup, and eventually had to be helped back to the locker room.
Still, the sixth-year point guard joins a long list of injuries for the Magic with other key players such as Paolo Banchero also sidelined.
The victory in New York marked the Magic’s first of the season. In three games, Suggs was averaging eight points, 5.7 assists and five rebounds per contest.
Orlando returns to action with two straight games in Toronto against the Raptors on Wednesday and Friday (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT).
