Kirk Cousins’ time as the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders may be coming to an end.
Following another loss in Week 7, Raiders coach Klint Kubiak said after the game that the team was “thinking about everything” moving forward, per ESPN.
“I think at this point, we’re thinking about everything to fix our problems, how to fix our issues in the red zone, in the third quarter, personnel [and] scheme,” Raiders coach Klint Kubiak said, via ESPN’s Ryan McFadden. “We’ve got to talk about all of it.”
Despite what’s been a pretty good performance from Cousins this season, and a late surge on Sunday afternoon, the Raiders dropped a fourth straight game this week and now sit at just 3-4. It’s a stark change from the team that won three consecutive games to open the season.
With No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza waiting in the wings, it could be the right time to get the rookie some work and see what he can offer the franchise moving forward.
