The Warriors have begun exploring the possibility of trading sidelined center Kristaps Porzingis, who is now seriously contemplating his future in basketball as he deals with recurring symptoms from the autoimmune condition termed as POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), ESPN’s Shams Charania reports (Twitter link).
Porzingis is eligible to be dealt despite signing a two-year, 40MM extension this summer, ESPN’s Bobby Marks tweets. His salary for next season is only partially guaranteed for $3MM. As a second-apron team, Golden State can’t take back more salary in any trade.
More to come…
