The Pittsburgh Steelers have a roster loaded with veteran talent. For a team ticketed for a run at the playoffs with many veterans either on the way out or ready to retire after the season, one player has been stellar for three seasons. When the Steelers found themselves in a contract standoff with Joey Porter Jr., could the hesitance to pay the cornerback be rooted in the idea that the Steelers will have to pay center Zach Frazier?
In his third season, Frazier has allowed two sacks over 1,540 pass-blocking snaps for his career. In his rookie year, Frazier allowed 12 pressures, and that number dropped to 11 in year two. So far in 2026, Frazier has allowed seven pressures, but still no sacks. Amongst centers with at least 100 minimum snaps, Frazier has a 1.2% blown block rate, which is a grand total of three, according to SIS Data Hub.

Hitting on offensive lineman in the draft is a cheat code, and Frazier is well on his way to a big payday.
Here is Wednesday’s Three Rivers Report.
If the season ended today, the Steelers would be a playoff team.
