Minor Transactions: Sixers, Heat, Mavericks
The Sixers waived Saint Thomas and Duke Miles on Thursday, per RealGM’s log of official NBA transactions, then signed Cris Carroll and Taye Fields to take their spots on their roster, the team announced.
Like Thomas and Miles, Carroll and Fields both received Exhibit 10 contracts from the 76ers, a source tells Chris Hine of The Philadelphia Inquirer (Twitter link).
All four players appear likely to open the season with the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s G League affiliate. Assuming Carroll and Fields are cut before the season, they’ll be eligible for bonuses worth up to $91K if they spend at least 60 days with Delaware.
Caroll went undrafted out of Youngstown State earlier this year, while Fields went undrafted in 2025 and played professionally in Austria last season.
Here are a few more relatively minor NBA transactions:
- The Heat have signed former USC big man Ezra Ausar, according to a press release from the team. In a related move, Miami waived Ian Schieffelin. Previous reporting indicated that Ausar’s deal with Miami would feature Exhibit 10 language. Ausar most recently suited up for the Heat’s Summer League squad in Las Vegas.
- The Mavericks have officially signed forward/center Guillermo Diaz Graham, the team announced (via Twitter). Guillermo is the identical twin brother of Jorge Diaz Graham, whom Dallas waived to sign Guillermo. Both Spanish big men spent three years at Pitt, but transferred to different schools ahead of their senior years — Jorge went to Oregon State, while Guillermo opted for San Francisco. In 33 games with the Dons last season (17.2 minutes per contest), Guillermo averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 37.5% from long distance). The Texas Legends previously selected Guillermo with the third overall pick in the NBA G League international draft, two spots after taking Jorge.
