Left tackle Josh Simmons (Back) was a limited participant in practice again, marking the 2025 first-round pick’s second time on the practice field since the team was in training camp. For more about Simmons, here are Reid’s comments from Wednesday.
Rookie defensive tackle Peter Woods (Neck) was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant in practice.
Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (Knee) was a limited participant in practice. His time on the field is regularly managed due to a lingering knee issue.
The following players were full participants in practice for the second consecutive day:
Safety Chamarri Conner (Knee)
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (Knee)
We will update this information with Thursday’s injury report when it becomes available.
The Chargers listed 20 players on their initial injury report.
Tackle Joe Alt (neck), guard Kayode Awosika (fibula), wide receiver Tre’ Harris, cornerback Donte Jackson (hamstring), and safety Derwin James (hamstring) did not practice to start the week. Pass rusher Khalil Mack also sat on Wednesday, but he rests for the first practice almost every week. His absence is specified as non-injury related.
Alt, Awosika, Jackson and James all missed the Chargers’ Week 5 contest against the Denver Broncos. Harris left during the game with a hamstring injury and did not return.
Defensive tackle Jamaree Caldwell (knee), pass rusher Bud Dupree (neck), defensive tackle Justin Egoigbe (shoulder), linebacker Daiyan Henley (knee), wide receiver Quentin Johnston (chest), wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith (hamstring), wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot), defensive back Elijah Molden (hamstring), cornerback Rodney Shelley (hamstring), wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quad), defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson (hamstring), wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling and safety Kendall Williamson (ankle) were limited.
Johnston and Thompson did not play against Denver. McConkey was nominally active on Sunday, but he did not enter the game against the Broncos. Lambert-Smith is on Los Angeles’ Reserve/Injured list but has been designated to return.
