Seven-foot-five centre Jamarion Sharp is joining Raptors camp, Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy reported Monday.
The 25-year-old was the 2026 NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year, leading the league in blocks, turning aside 154 shots in 39 games played for the Texas Legends.
Sharp was previously with Toronto’s Summer League squad and signed a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Clippers after Summer League concluded. According to Murphy, there was interest from the Raptors to ink Sharp to a two-way deal of their own at the end of Summer League.
He’ll now get a chance to audition for the Raptors, properly, in training camp.
Toronto plays its first pre-season game at Scotiabank Arena Tuesday against the New York Knicks at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet+.
