The Green Bay Packers will get new addition Kevin Zeitler on the field for the first time in a game on Sunday. Zeitler is active and will suit up for the Packers against the Chicago Bears for Sunday afternoon’s week 5 matchup, and he is expected to start at right guard.
Zeitler did not play last week in his first week on the Packers’ 53 man roster, taking an extra week to ramp up after signing the Wednesday before. However, with three other interior linemen on the inactive list today, Zeitler will finally be called upon.

Those three inactive linemen are Aaron Banks, Jacob Monk, and Donovan Jennings. Banks and Monk have been on the injury report for some time now, as the Week 2 starters at guard have struggled to stay in the lineup. Meanwhile, Jennings is a healthy scratch after Zeitler’s signing and amid Travis Glover and Laken Tomlinson playing reasonably well in last week’s win over the Buccaneers.
Joining the trio an inactive is defensive lineman Anthony Campbell, who was questionable on Friday’s injury report but was unlikely to play as the 6th player at his position on the roster.
Meanwhile, the Packers had already placed running back Chris Brooks on inured reserve this week and promoted Pierre Strong from the practice squad. Strong will play today, joining a backfield Wtih Marshawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson.
The Bears’ most notable inactive players today are Caleb Williams, who was not expected to play despite being listed as Questionable on the final injury report of the week, and running back Kyle Monangai. That will leave Tyson Bagent to start at quarterback and D’Andre Swift as the primary running back for Chicago.
