The Trail Blazers have signed free agent swingman Jaylen Martin to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian (Twitter link), who reports that Martin will be at training camp with the team on Wednesday.

Martin, 22, went undrafted in 2023 after playing in the Overtime Elite league. The 6’6″ wing made 16 NBA regular season appearances for Brooklyn and Washington in 2024/25 but has mostly played in the G League over the past three seasons.

Last season, Martin played in 39 total games for the Delaware Blue Coats and Rip City Remix, averaging 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 20.4 minutes per game, with a shooting line of .549/.250/.656.

Portland entering the day with two openings on its 21-man preseason roster, so no corresponding transaction was necessary to create an open spot for Martin. The team now has 20 players under contract, including 12 on guaranteed standard contracts and three on two-way deals.

The expectation, per Freeman, is that Martin will return to the Remix, Portland’s G League affiliate, this fall. His Exhibit 10 deal will make him eligible for a bonus worth up to $91K on top of his NBAGL base salary if he spends at least 60 days with Rip City.
