Restricted free-agent Jalen Duren won’t be attending the Pistons’ media day on Monday or the start of training camp as the two sides continue to be in a contract dispute, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Monday.

The all-star has rejected the Pistons’ five-year, $200 million fully guaranteed contract offer, Charania adds.

Duren is coming off a breakthrough season and appears to be eyeing a max deal. He averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and two assists while shooting 65 per cent from the field through 70 games.

He did, however, fall off tremendously in the post-season. In 14 playoff games, he averaged 10.2 points and 8.5 rebounds on 51.4 per cent shooting.

If the two cannot agree to a deal, Thursday is the deadline to sign a one-year, $9.6 million qualifying offer. If Duren signs that one-year deal, he will be an unrestricted free agent next Summer.
