Shortly after signing him to a non-guaranteed training camp contract, the Warriors have waived guard Obi Agbim, according to NBA.com’s transaction log.

Although it wasn’t reported at the time, Golden State requested waivers on Agbim on Monday in order to make room on the 21-man offseason roster for Graham Ike, who received a two-way deal. The Warriors have been operating with a full squad ahead of camp, so if they make any more roster additions, someone currently under contract will have to be cut.

Agbim was one of several players on training camp contracts to be let go in the past 24 hours. The following players were also placed on waivers, per NBA.com:

Charlotte waiving Carroll is notable because the Hornets needed to open up a spot on their 21-man offseason roster in order to complete their one-for-two trade with Atlanta. They now have 20 players under contract, so they can complete that deal for Buddy Hield and Ryan Nembhard anytime.

Most – if not all – of these players are now on track to play in the G League this fall with their respective teams’ affiliates. If their deals included Exhibit 10 language, they’ll be eligible to receive bonuses worth up to $91K if they spend at least 60 days in the NBAGL.
