Sometimes all there is to do is to pick yourself up, and try again. That’s what the Detroit Lions will be looking to do after a Thursday night loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season. It wasn’t pretty at any point of the 41-31 loss. The Bills were playing their first game in their brand new stadium, it was their home opener. You get it. There was a lot working against the Lions in Week 2, including being on a short week after an overtime win over the Saints in Week 1.
With that said, it’s a long season, and Lions coach Dan Campbell has always been good at getting his team to bounce back after a tough loss. Take the loss in stride, examine what can be fixed heading into the following week, dust yourself off, and try again.

Detroit Lions Week 2 Song of the Game: “Try again” by Aaliyah.
Our own Jeremy Reisman wanted to bring back this segment this year, and since my musical taste is so impeccable, I felt like I had to join in. For my first selection of the year, I am going with one of the more popular songs from the Princess of R&B in “Try Again” by Detroit-legend Aaliyah.
And if at first you don’t succeed (first you don’t succeed)
Then dust yourself off and try again (again)
You can dust it off and try again, try again
