A Canadian NBA star will miss a large chunk of the upcoming season with a knee injury.

Sharpe, from London, Ont., is coming off his most productive season yet after averaging 20.8 points in 50 games last season. He missed most of February and March with a fibula injury but returned for the Trail Blazers’ final two games.

The 23-year-old guard is entering his fifth NBA season.
