Free agent wing Kobe Stewart has reached an agreement with the Hornets on an Exhibit 10 contract, his agents Sam Cipriano and Keith Kreiter tell Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer (Twitter link).

Stewart, who went undrafted out of Presbyterian College in 2025, spent his first professional season playing in the G League, where he appeared in a total of 46 games for the Austin Spurs, Memphis Hustle, and Wisconsin Herd. The 6’6″ guard/forward averaged 7.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 20.0 minutes per game, with a shooting line of .455/.308/.767.

Stewart suited up for the Bucks at the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues last month, getting into six games and averaging 4.8 PPG and 2.5 RPG in 12.8 MPG.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed deal that puts a player in line for a bonus worth up to $91K if he’s waived before the season begins and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G League affiliate. It can also be converted into a two-way deal, but a follow-up tweet from Boone makes it sounds like the Hornets plan to eventually waive Stewart and make him a returning-rights player for the Greensboro Swarm.

The Swarm will have to acquire Stewart’s rights from the Herd via trade at some point in order for him to join the Hornets’ affiliate and earn his Exhibit 10 bonus this fall.
