The New York Knicks were not too eager to make their first pick of the 2026 NBA Draft.
With the 24th pick, the Lakers took Baylor’s Cameron Carr. The guard averaged 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 49.4 per cent from the field and 37.4 per cent from three in his junior year.
Carr spent his first two collegiate seasons with Tennessee, but only found success with the Bears. The six-foot-five guard was named to the 2025-26 All-Big 12 Team after starting in all 34 games he appeared in.
The Knicks added to their championship-winning roster with Spanish forward Sergio De Larrea. The 20-year-old has spent the past four seasons with Valencia of Liga ACB.
In 2025-25, De Larrea averaged 9.7 points, three rebounds and 3.7 assists on 40.7 per cent shooting from deep through 28 Liga ACB games. He also appeared in 26 EuroLeague contests, but did not have much success.
