The NBA has officially unveiled its full regular season schedule for 2026/27. The season will begin on Tuesday, October 20 and will wrap up on Sunday, April 11.
After announcing its opening night, Christmas Day, NBA Cup, MLK Day, and Presidents’ Day schedules earlier this week, the league has highlighted each team’s home opener (Twitter link), as well as several instances of star players visiting their former teams for the first time (Twitter link).
Those homecoming dates to watch include the following:
The NBA schedule will generally feature nationally televised games on every day of the week over the course of the season, with NBC/Peacock airing games on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, ESPN and/or ABC broadcasting games on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and Amazon Prime Video airing games on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints (Twitter links), the Knicks, Spurs, Sixers, and Lakers will have the most nationally televised games, with the maximum of 34 apiece. On the other end of the spectrum, the Nets, Grizzlies, Bucks, Pelicans, and Kings will each be featured on national broadcasts just twice.
Each team’s schedule features 80 games for now, with the remaining two contests to be filled in during the first two weeks of December based on the NBA Cup results.
