Exactly a week ago, Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car was fired at by unknown assailants after a football match. The actor was in his car, and his driver sustained injuries. Tiger then took over the driving seat and drove the car to ensure that his driver received quick medical aid.
Since then, Tiger has kept a low profile and hasn’t interacted with the media. On Sunday, it was widely reported that Tiger Shroff had expressed shock over the attack on his car in Mumbai on October 18, saying he didn’t have any enmity with anyone, according to sources quoted by NDTV.
It was further said that Tiger Shroff has not been able to recover from the assassination bid and has so far not recorded his statement with the police, sources said.
“I am in deep shock. I do not wish to say anything right now. Who would want to carry out such a life-threatening attack on me, and why?” he reportedly told a team of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, which had visited his residence to record his statement, according to sources.
“I have no enmity with anyone… so why was I attacked?” Shroff reportedly said.
Tiger Shroff’s spokesperson denies ‘why was I attacked’ statement
However, Tiger Shroff’s spokesperson denied reports claiming that the actor questioned the motive behind the firing incident outside his residence in Mumbai.
His spokesperson reportedly dismissed these claims, stating that Tiger had not made any such statement. According to Times Now, Tiger’s spokesperson said, “This news is completely untrue. Tiger has not made any such statement. No such thing has happened.”
Tiger’s shooters arrested
The two shooters, later identified as Phool Singh (18) and Rehan Rahisuddin Ansari (18) from Haryana, then joined the third accused, Hritik Kumar alias Roshan (22) from Bihar, on a bike and fled. A motorcycle allegedly used by the shooters was found abandoned in Andheri.
The accused then fled to Gujarat’s Surat and boarded a Jaipur-bound train. They were arrested in Rajasthan’s Kota the next day. The three were supposed to travel to Delhi by bus and then flee to Nepal.
Turkish pistol jammed during attack
A Turkish-made pistol used by one of the accused had jammed during the attack, sources have said. The Zigana pistol allegedly used by Rehan jammed during the attack, and two live cartridges fell out without being fired.
Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt. His driver, Firdous Ibrahim Baloch, was injured, while Umesh Kumar Chauhan, a Bollywood vlogger who was filming the actor as he left a football ground in Juhu, was struck by a stray bullet in the chest.
