Here we go again.
The NFL is on hiatus once again, stuck between two worlds. With the preseason in the history books, everyone is turning the page to the regular season.
Instead, the games are taking place off the field as roster gymnastics dominate the day. Every team across the league is tasked with trimming their roster to 53 players by 6 p.m. ET, meaning 1,184 more players will be looking for work when the dust settles.

The regular season will be here soon enough. It just requires a little more patience as the league makes everyone feel like it’s the offseason all over again.
Here’s what to know.
There are no NFL games on Sunday, Aug. 30.
The preseason wrapped up on Saturday, Aug. 29, leaving roster cuts as the only thing happening in the NFL on Sunday. Week 1 of the regular season kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 9, meaning the first full Sunday slate of the season is still two weeks away.
